SLICE Amish Friendship Bread
The Amish Friendship Bread is like eating a slice of a lakeside vacation. It's sweet, warm, and dense, not too rich, and just cinnamon-y enough. I've wanted to make it at home but I'm too impatient! Thank God I have a place local that has it.

Beth's is a microcosm of Seattle. Sober punks, Greenlake runners, bikers in leather, families with hungry teens, artists---it's all here. The only thing better than the people-watching is the food. Ask for it the way you want it. Get the refills. Talk to the staff---they're incredibly hardworking, kind, and consistent. There's no way to be here except yourself. This place is part of my weekly rotation now because there's something irreplaceable that feels like home.

Had an absolute blast at Beth's! Met up with my buddy and her boyfriend for breakfast, and the vibes were top-tier. I had eggs, French toast, bacon, and coffee---everything was delicious and hit just right. It gets crowded and parking's street-only, but honestly? Didn't even care. Great food, great company, and a classic Seattle spot I'll always come back to.
